Job Summary

Senior Security Engineers lead our Information Security team in handling diverse security-related tasks and issues for the company, with a particular emphasis on Workflow Automation. Senior Security engineers will be tasked with applying security policies to meet security objectives, engineering security controls to protect our environment, and planning and recommending modifications or adjustments to corporate systems and production environments. Activities include implementing security best practices, leading system deployments and integrations, assisting the incident management processes, and developing and reporting key performance indicators. Senior Security Engineers are expected to engage in professional development and maintain continual growth in professional skills and knowledge

Responsibilities

    Implement system security measures in accordance with established procedures to ensure confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation.

    Lead the deployment, management, and automation of security services, including intrusion detection and response systems, security event and monitoring systems, anti-virus/antimalware, vulnerability management, data loss prevention (DLP), and other systems as they align with the overall cyber security objectives.
 

    Expert knowledge in key automation techniques and technologies, including scripting languages, workflow automation tools, and orchestration platforms, to effectively secure and streamline security operations across the business units.

    Implement and automate security measures to resolve vulnerabilities, mitigate risks, and recommend security changes to system or system components as needed.
 

    Verify and update security documentation reflecting the application/system security design features.

 

    Lead automation-focused projects, provide ad hoc information security support, and provide guidance while ensuring recommended solutions, outcomes, and processes adhere to iCIMS security standards and policies.

Qualifications

    5+ years of experience in an information security analyst/engineering role with a significant focus on security automation.

    Proven experience with automating security operations tools, logging systems, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), Anti-virus, SIEM, Vulnerability Management tools, DLP, endpoint protection, CASB, etc.

 

  • Experience with cloud security architecture and developing and implementing cloud systems in AWS, Azure or GCP.  Including the utilization of these services to automate cybersecurity operations in support of business objectives.

 

  • Highly developed organizational skills and attention to detail, including the ability to handle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously with a high degree of professionalism and client service orientation through automation strategies.

 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Articulates thoughts and ideas clearly, concisely, and persuasively, including the ability to communicate security and risk-related concepts and the value and benefit of security automation projects to a variety of stakeholder groups (written and oral):  Executive team, management peers, and external customers.

 

  • High computer literacy: Microsoft Office/Office 365 (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, SharePoint) and automation tools and scripting languages (Python).
