We are currently looking for a Junior Front-End Software Engineer with a focus on mobile web development to contribute to our rapid product development pace. Our Engineers work collaboratively to set the technical direction for our SaaS products, developing easy-to-use solutions for our customers.
About the Junior Front-End Software Engineer:
- The Front-End Software Engineer will be primarily responsible for the ongoing design and development of our benefits administration platform’s front-end. The position we’re looking to fill will have a primary focus on mobile web development.
- Driving new features through the full development cycle from requirements all the way through release
- Managing the development of a product and/or feature by collaborating with other team members and engineering partners
- Working closely with our Design team to add to and maintain our library of shared assets and design patterns
- Writing technical requirements from business requirements
- Writing new code and refactoring existing code
- Provide application support to our QA/Support staff

Qualifications
Hard Skill Requirements:
- Technical related bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Experience with transforming data from RESTful APIs
- TDD and writing useful and effective unit and integration tests
- Solid HTML5, CSS/SASS/LESS, JavaScript, TypeScript
- Experience with mobile web development
- Nice to have: experience in writing and maintaining a PWA
- Strong knowledge of React (preferably), React Native or another front-end framework such as Angular.
- Nice to have:
- 2+ years of commercial software development experience
- Experience with back-end frameworks such as Ruby/Rails
- Experience creating native web components
- Experience working in and deploying to a cloud environment, especially AWS
