Michael Grossi joined Vista Equity Partners in 2025 and is a member of the private equity Foundation team.

Michael has thirty years of experience leading transformative growth strategies for public, private and PE backed technology companies. Prior to joining Vista, he was the former CEO and Board Director of four software companies: Operative (Francisco Partners), Lakeside Software (Insight Partners), HealthcareSource (sold to Symplr), and Ipswitch (sold to Progress software). Over the course of his career, he led six sale transactions spanning take-privates, carve-outs, and leveraged buyouts.

Prior to his CEO roles, Michael held senior executive positions in sales, product, strategy consulting and business development. Michael launched his career as a Captain in the United States Air Force, where he oversaw software and technology defense programs in the Space and Intelligence Commands.
