Brian Steel joined Vista Equity Partners in 2021 and leads the firm’s media relations and strategic communications programs.
Prior to Vista, Brian was Executive Vice President of Public Relations at CNBC, where he was responsible for media relations, internal communications and talent management. Before joining CNBC, Brian was Global Head of Corporate Affairs at Citi within the Global Transaction Services business. Prior to Citi, Brian served in multiple positions in the Clinton Administration, including as Deputy Assistant Attorney General in the Office of Policy Development at the U.S. Department of Justice, and as a Domestic Policy Advisor to Vice President Al Gore in the White House.
Brian started his career as an Assistant District Attorney with the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.
