Child Advocates

Founded in 1984, Child Advocates, Inc. is a private nonprofit organization that is Harris County’s Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program. Child Advocates volunteers are appointed by juvenile and family court judges to serve as a child’s “guardian ad litem,” which gives them the power to make a profound difference in that child’s life. Child Advocates has trained more than 4,100 volunteers and served more than 18,500 abused children over the last 28 years.
