Alan originally joined Vista Equity Partners in 2001 and rejoined Vista in 2008 to start and co-Head the Vista Foundation Fund, which is Vista’s private equity fund focused on the lower middle market within the software universe, overseeing both the buyout and growth equity efforts within the fund. He currently sits on the boards of Agdata, Autotask, Bullhorn, Kibo, Lone Wolf, Main Street Hub, NEWSCYCLE Solutions, and Social Solutions. He was also actively involved in Vista's past investments in Accruent, BigMachines, MicroEdge, Mitratech, Relias Learning, SRC Software, and Aspect Communications.
Prior to Vista, Alan was a General Partner at Accretive LLC, an innovative venture capital firm focused on high growth technology-enabled service companies. Alan co-founded and served as General Manager of Fandango, a consortium-based movie ticketing business, and worked at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in the Mergers & Acquisitions and High Technology Groups.
